Summary. The work involved a cutting for a new swimming pool located on the line of the moat to the east of the house. To the west side, a fresh cutting exposed a small soil section, which is included on Figure 2. No archaeological features were discernable. A second visit was not felt to be justified, in view of the extent of earlier ground disturbance.
