Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording took place at Mount House, The Street, Pleshey during groundworks for the construction of a replacement swimming-pool building. Despite being located within the scheduled monument of Pleshey Castle and town enclosure, no significant archaeological horizons were identified. The development site appears to have been landscaped/terraced in the past, possibly during the construction of the current swimming-pool.
