Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording were carried out at DSG (the Defence Support Group), Flagstaff Road, Colchester, Essex during groundworks to cap off a water-main. Despite being located within the Colchester Roman circus Scheduled area, there was no impact on the monument as all groundworks were confined to the backfill of the water-main trench.
