Summary. Archaeological monitoirng was carried out at 6 Ireton Road, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for a rear and side extension. The site lies within an area of known Roman cemeteries. Despite being located in an archaeologically-sensitive area, however, no significant archaeological remains were encountered.
