Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at 9 Serpentine Walk, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for a two-storey extension to the rear of the property. The site lies within a known area of Roman burials and probable area of Roman kilns. Despite being located in an archaeologically-sensitive area, no significant archaeological remains were encountered.
