Summary. Groundworks were monitored by a CAT archaeologist for the installation of four new interpretation panels, as the site lies within the Late Iron Age and Roman Scheduled Ancient Monument known as Sheepen Farm, on land at Hilly Fields, north of Sussex Road, Colchester. It was found that no archaeological remains were impacted by the groundworks.
