Summary. An archaeological evaluation (two trial-trenches) was carried out at Wild Oaks, East Hanningfield Road, Sandon in advance of the construction of two new dwellings. The evaluation took place within the grounds of a late 19th-/early 20th-century building, with a Roman wine jar and coins recovered from a boundary ditch west of the site. However, no archaeological remains were encountered during the evaluation.
