Summary. Archaeological monitoring was carried out at 64 Prettygate Road, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for the construction of a rear extension. Located on the route of the Iron Age Prettygate Dyke, groundworks revealed a section through approximately half of the ditch of the dyke.
