Summary. Archaeological monitoring and recording was carried out at Cedar Lodge, 7 Alton Drive, Colchester, Essex during groundworks for the construction of extensions to the rear and side.

The site is located within the Late Iron Age oppidum of Camulodunum, and lies along the projected route of the Colchester to London Roman road. Despite lying in an archaeologically sensitive area no archaeological remains were encountered.
