The mansion site at Marks Hall is located on the Marks Hall Estate, near Coggeshall, Essex. The Mansion was demolished in 1950, although an archaeological dig is currently taking place to discover its footprint.

Visitors should note that the Interpretation Centre and Museum is still under construction, but the archaeological dig at the mansion site can be viewed behind temporary fencing. In season, the archaeologists are working on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Interpretation panels and aids are located around the site, and are marked on the map. One is sited mid-way around the perimeter fence at the excavation site, and more will be created in the coming months.

Please park at the Visitors' Centre (signs are at the entrance to the estate), where there is an admission kiosk and café facilities.
