Summary.
Observation of groundworks for the construction of three camping pods was carried out on land adjacent to 6 Heath Cottages, Heath Road, Fordham Heath, Essex. The site lies to the east of the historic Fordham Heath, cropmarks are located to the north and south, and a Neolithic polished axe was found some 600m to the southeast. Despite being locate in an archaeologically-sensitive area, no significant archaeological remains were encountered.
